Magnet cleaner for acrylic aquarium

Hey guys, quick question. what kind of magnet do you use to clean the algae off your acrylic aquarium? My aquarium has 3/4 inch thick acrylic and I would like to get a magnet that will do a decent job at keeping the algae off the viewing panel.

Thanks!
Mike

I use a Algae Free HammerHead with a slice of a magic eraser on the inside of the tank and a microfiber towel on the outside of the tank. For 3/4" acrylic you will need one of their larger sizes.

I have managed to stay almost scratch free using this setup.

I stay mainly on the glass side of the fence when it comes to aquariums, but I've read of many running the same setup as kendrid with success.

would you guys mind showing me how you put a "slice" of magic eraser on the water side of the magnet?

Thanks for the help guys.

I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I have the large magfloat (the square looking one), but I don't think that will be strong enough for a 3/4 inch acrylic. I could always try.

I hate magic erasers for cleaning because they come apart so easy. No way I would trust that thing to not choke corals as it comes apart and spreads plastic dust in the tank.

Any other suggestions for decent acrylic cleaners? I'll be getting an acrylic soon, pretty excited and want to do it right.
