Can you not just put the inside half outside? Both halves are identical and only one half needs the holder. I have no problem to replace the bad half but I need to get it back.
Yes, that's what I did. I switched the two for temporary purposes, however, the bad half has some rough spots that formed when inside the tank that could scratch my acrylic when I need to move the pump around.
