Magnetic stirrer bars

I'm building a DIY Nilsen Reactor. I have the Mag stirrer but no bar. Can anyone tell me where I can get one. I also need the "anti wear" disc for the bottom. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Search function is down as I submit this, Sorry if this has been asked before.

Check on ebay, as you can get the bar there for cheap.

Google it, I found a place that sold them for $1.50 each... price varies by size of the bar. I got a 2" bar, it works good.

you are in NJ, right? There a bunch of pharmaceuticals companies over there. Find a friend that work in one of those labs.

Ebay had them for cheap. I was searching under "magnetic stirrer bar" no luck. Searched under "stir bar" found a bunch of them. Go figure. Now if I can find the anti wear disc I'll be good to go!

I use these on my DIY reactor from USPlastics. They are cheap but kind of thin though. I use it with a VWR LabDisc thats only 1/2in thick with rare earth stir bar from Variomag.

I think I'll cut up that cheap A$$ cutting board I got as a free gift from Ohama steaks and use that as a wear pad since it's too thin to actually cut on.
