Magnifica Anemone spawning

If a Magnifica Anemone Spawns in a reef tank tank why does it kill everything in the tank, is it caused by an ammonia spike that occurs after spawning takes place, or is it caused by something else?

I would guess that it is from the sperm/eggs decomposing, which may cause an ammonia spike.

But, it isn't a guarantee that your tank would spike and kill everything, would depend on the size of the anemone, type of filtration, size of tank, etc.

I f i have a very strong protein skimmer and filter would there be anyway that the spawning would do damage to my live stock is there anything besides Ammonia that kills the live stock when the anemone spawns

Even before ammonia can spike the spawn can kill fish--actually during the spawning. I suspect that the eggs are released with chemicals that deter animals from eating the spawn. When a female anemone spawns it is a bigger mess than when a male does, I can tell you that. Along with the eggs other "stuff" is released--which is seemingly toxic.
