Magnifica on the move!

A little background. I've had this anemone for almost 9 months now. It's been through a tank move and everything so it's relatively hardy. It stayed put for almost 6 months since the tank move and then over the past week or two it has been on the move. I can't figure out why. I know the typical causes are light and flow but nothing has really changed in my tank. No new fish. No real lighting changes. No flow changes. Anyone have any idea?

The first 6 months placement at the top in the middle:

Then it moved to the top left corner for a few days and then yesterday it moved to the top right corner on the overflow box right next to the eductor for the return:

Last night I moved some rocks around and took it off the overflow, put it back near where it was, and turned the flow off to let it attach. It moved again today back to the top right and I can't figure out why it's doing that...

Some of the tenticles seem shorter and a little torn. I'm really nervous about it taking a quick turn for the worse and nuking my whole tank. HELP!

I would check your nitrates, mine seemed to get moving when nitrates were on the rise.

What type light are you using?

when did you clean your PH fins/blade?

Did you change light/bulbs cause they look drastically different in coloration.

Nitrates being detectable and a change in the flow are the things that have led to mine wandering.

Just a different setting with the white balance, no change in lighting.
Still running 2x250w radiums on M80 magnetic ballasts with 2x48in. reefbrite blue LEDs.

Mine moved after 8 or so months fo no apparent reason, all params in check, no change in flow or lighting etc. etc. moved to the very top next to the overflow as well,, its been there for a year or two now and its happy so i dont mind..Im not sure how it likes that much lighting , but it does.. when it moved it is soo close to the lights it actually bleached a corner of itself..

That's really interesting. I'm going to double check all of my parameters tonight after I get home from work to make sure they are all in line. I moved it the other night but it moved right back up to the same spot. It's right underneath the bulb so maybe it just loves that much light. The mouth has remained tighly closed so I may just leave it there. Thanks for your response.

The one I would be most concerned with is nitrate, which I don't see. Ca and Mg are non issues with anemones. Otherwise params look fine.

I think nitarte is very important when your first get a mag to ensure it stays healthy for awhile , but ive seen mags in some dirty water and they have thrived.. My nirtates personally have always been around 10-25( salifert) and my mag has only grown in the three years ive had him..

Change in flow, change in light, detectable nitrates and about to divide are the only times I have had mags move.
