Sunday night I noticed my Mag was looking quite unhappy, deflated mouth gaping so I feared the worst. I'd been in contact with Minh prior just asking some advice and what to look for with the anemone. I started preparation and got a hospital tank going to run a cipro treatment.
I set the tank up and planned to make the move to the hospital tank Monday morning. Getting ready for bed that night I glanced in the tank and noticed the anemone had re inflated but there seemed to be something like a fuzz ball coming out of the mouth.

Being as I was already stressed about what could be troubling my hands down favorite anemone I grabbed the turkey baster and sucked up the mystery fuzz. I brought it up to the kitchen where I could examine it further under better light. Low and behold, my anemone had coughed up a hairball (with some leftover pellet fragments from the clowns)

You can imagine my surprise when I saw the hair, but it is an open tank after all. The next day I found him inflated enjoying the spring time sun. I will continue to monitor him and if there are any deflation events or gaping he will be on his way to the hospital.
