Making a durso in an HOB overflow box.

I have almost all the parts for my tank except the overflow and plumbing. I want this tank to be super quiet as it will be in my kids bedroom.

I'm thinking of getting and overflow rates to double what I need with dual drains. Then making one drain a durso standpipe, the other into an emergency standpipe.

Does this sounds feasible?

For ultra-silent operation i would make one a pipe-in-pipe herbie style overflow and the other to be used as an emergency drain. That way you can run things extremely silent, and i mean whisper silent.

I may have to go with a Herbie, as I'm not sure if a U piece of a Druso will fit on the drain section of the overflow box anyway.
