Making water: How to increase psi?

I feel like I'm not being efficient somewhere. Any help is appreciated.

Adjust pressure regulator under the house/crawlspace..
A booster pump will just increase pressure for your filter which is fine..
BUT
Adjusting the pressure regulator will increase it across the whole house.. Showers are better.. faucets will be better,etc.. oh and its free.. while a booster is not..
It will look like this.. simply loosen nut and turn screw on top till you get the desired pressure (50psi while running is perfect)..

Thanks mcgyvr. I'm going to look for this. Not sure where it is located being that I don't have a crawl space but maybe at the main? Will doing this increase the water consumed? I wouldn't mind the pressure being a little stronger throughout the house though.

What sort of booster pump would work? I'm getting a BRS 75gpd

I suspect as I have an RODI system and on well water that I may need one. My well pump fills a tank to pressure and kicks back on when the pressure gets low. Still this difference in pressure is noticeable when water is consistently running. For examples sprinklers will spray far then slowly decline until the pumps runs again.


I'm curious to see what the pressure will read and is that bad to have changing pressure through the RODI? Will it kick solids through as it changes?

Our house pressure is, fyi, about 80. Much higher than that, and you may have troubles with other house plumbing. We can adjust it via a valve on the line in the basement. If you are on a well, a booster pump is definitely your answer.

The regulator is usually found close to the water meter near the street

Could adjusting the pressure on the feed line to your house mess something up or break something? Just wondering why his pressure is set that low to start with.

Increasing the psi to 50 or 60 psi will not damage anything in the house
