Making waves with 2 6100's

I have a 90 gallon mixed reef. I recently added 2 6100.1 pumps. One is set on the lowest setting placed in the left corner on the back glass, and pointed at the center of the front glass and surface. The other is on a 7091 controller and placed on the side of the tank in the center pointed across the whole tank.

How can I get these pumps to make waves? What is the cheapest controller that will accomplish this? The 7091 doesn't seem to pulse quickly enough to make waves.

To make an actual wave the cheapest controller would be the 6091 and you would want to center one pump on each side aimed directly at each other and set up the controller for inverse mode. This might not be the most effective use of these pumps, if possible I would get the 7096 so you can use other options if the wave mode is not very effective. The wavebox actually uses a stronger pump equal to the 6200 and with the displacement of the box it is about equal to 2 6200. I am not sure if this will give a very large wave.
