Maldives Lyretail Anthias?

I bought a male Maldives Lyretail Anthias a week ago that is doing really good. I want to get a pair of females for him, the problem is that I'm only finding the regular Lyretail females. Is there really a difference between the Maldives Lyretail, and the regular ones?

Lyretails have variants but it won't make any difference when adding 2 females to to your male.

Only the males from Maldives look different - the females look the same. It shouldn't matter.

That's good to know. I was worry that I wasn't going to find any females from Maldives. Should I do 2 females or 3?

Depends what your present stock is. If there is room go for 3.

Go for 3 incase if one of them jumps or gets beaten up by the others. Also good to find the females all about the same size.

In my tank I have a Maldives male and a regular male from Liveaquaria that are awesome. I have a 7 females and they all get along fine. For a 120 if you do regular wc I would go with 4 females.

Will they all speak the same language though?? How will they get past the language barrier??

Just kidding.. I agree, they should be fine. He will be happy to see any female, kind of like someone just getting out of prison, if you know what I mean.
