I have two female H. Reidi black if i get a yellow male will they mate or do you have to have the same color. And where is a good place to order a male H. Reidi. My shop got some yellow ones in and there is some males. Ther from the same supplier.

They definitely do not have to be the same color. I recommend you get him from seahorsesource.com

Seahorsesource does not offer Reidi. If your LFS has them from the same breeder go for it.

Your best bet is to get your males and females at the same time from the same batch. That way you are most likely to get the same species.

I do not know how often it happens, but horses that come through normal distribution have been known to be mis-identified.
