male O. clown jumps out of tank.

The male one of my Ocellaris pairs jumped out of the tank last night. It was doing well for the past 5 months since my tanks was setup. It grew from 1" to 1.5". However, it had record of jumping. I found it twice in the overflow box 3 months ago. It's the third time it jumps out . I always have the canopy closed because I have a goby in the tank. Unfortunately there is a 5"x5" open area on the back of the canopy that's where it gets out.

Now I want to buy a male O. clowns about 1.5" at most. How do I know it's a male?

Just make sure it's a small one. Bummer about your fish tho.

Sorry about your fish. Make sure you get one from a community tank and it isn't bullying every other fish in the tank and you should be OK. Also best not to pick the largest fish.

By reading the Clownfish FAQ in this sub-forum; lots of good, necessary info.
