I think you're on to something there.... I was just thinking juvenile male, but have no basis for my theory.... I search the web and all references are to the Japanese version with yellow band in middle. Stay tuned as the mystery unfolds.....

A full male would be fully striped. Your angel is the color of a female that's transitioning. You could get a smaller female to ensure the transition doesn't stop and it shouldn't if it started
