Male Scribbled Angel

I was wondering whether you have any male scribbled angel available. I know you have scribbled available but don't knew whether they are male or females. Would it be possible to send me a picture of the scribbled angel that is available. Hoping you have it listed in the den....Thanks!

Thank you for your interest in our beautiful Scribbled Angels. We apologize we are unable to provide an individual photo of the specimen you are inquiring about. Our holding facility receives shipments on a daily basis. Coloration, size and gender will vary from specimen to specimen. You are correct; the best place to purchase an individually photographed specimen would be from our Diver's Den.

Currently we do not have the Chaetodontoplus duboulayi available in our Divers Den section, however we are continuously updating our site and recommend you either check our website periodically or sign up for the notification of new arrivals with the link below.

Thanks for the heads up! I just saw two male scribbled angel in person. The other one just today at one of our local store whose also a Reefcentral sponsor. Its around 7-8" I'm not sure whether the one pictured in the den is a male from the angle they took the picture. I'm basically comparing it from the ones I saw and the pictures from Scott Michael's book and the one posted at Marinecenter website. I'm not saying its not a male, I"m just comparing it to ones I saw and the pictures of males posted on books and websites.

It is a challenge for us to take a perfect photograph that we are proud to display on our site of the fish offered in the Divers Den section of the LiveAquaria site, especially at the correct angle, or to show off specific characteristics of some species. Often times these beauties just wont cooperate even when we talk nice to them and give them treats

For others reading this thread that may not be aware, Male Scribbled Angels (Chaetodontoplus duboulayi) are normally more vivid blue and have a larger white vertical band from their head down past their cheek spine, as well as an “ irregular striped” pattern down the side of their body. Female adult Scribbled Angels normally have a small white patch in between their pectoral fin and eye, as well as a peppered spotted pattern on each side of their body.

Thanks for the info! It really is a nice show angel! I wish they came a little bit smaller. I know that males usually come in bigger at least 6" Hope you get them in the near future...

Just following up on my request if you can kindly took another picture of the male scribbled angel on Diver's Den. I read on your other post that you are selling off some of the rare and show sizes fishes. Would you be including the male scribbled angel in that list

I will include the Scribbled Angel to the list of fish we placed on sale. I sincerely apologize for the delay in getting back to you. As Jessica alluded to my entire staff (including myself) are packing orders today due to all of the weather delays from last week.

We did receive an email request from a customer for a different image of this fish. Although this is something that we do not normally do, with this fish it seems a pertinent request, so we reshot the fish today. I just received the image back from our Photography department and have emailed this off to the customer that had sent in the request. If this was not you please PM me your email address and Ill send the image out to you as well.

Just be patient and let Live Aquaria know what your looking for and the size. I did and I'm now waiting for my Male Scribbled angel as they quarantine and acclimate it for me. Excellent customer service!

I received a healthy Male Scribbled Angel today from Live Aquaria. The packaging was the best I've seen. Numerous heat packs and bagged 5 times! I posted here that I was in search of a Male Scribbled Angel. Live Aquaria worked with me to find the specimen I was looking for and informed me when one was available. They send me a picture if I'll be interested when they received it. They even match the price my LFS usually sells them for. Best of all, They hold the fish a minimum of two weeks to make sure its healthy and eating!
