Malu/Crispa? ID Help

So... This anemone doesn't seem to want to settle.

It opens more when lights are off and shrinks during lights on.

I also noticed this morning it wasn't attached and there is some white stringy stuff coming from the centre of its foot, any idea what that means?

It has a really nice deep purple colour and mouth is closed.

It is sick and have a torn foot with mesentery filament spilling out. A very bad thing.

You have two choices. Take the best care you can in the tank and hope for the best. They like sand so I would, if he is detached, put him in low flow shallow sand indentation with a flat piece of rock on him and hope he digs in and stay there. He should attach to the rock then work himself into the sand.
The second choice you have is to take him out of the tank and treat him with antibiotic, especially if he deflates. Once his foot healed up then you put him back to the tank as above.
Best of luck with him, he is a very nice anemone.

I would put it in a small plastic tub with about an inch of sand in it and then put a piece of eggcrate over the tub to keep him in there.

The tub will buffer the heavy flow. See if it will settle in that way. Once its okay you can cut the whole container off except where it's attached.

I've did that with my Malu early on & it worked really well.

Will give that a try for the meanwhile, looking into getting some antibiotics if it doesn't perk up soon.

So the tub didn't work, just sat there hadn't taken hold to anything in a month.

So I've treated it with a liquid antibiotic called Enrofloxacin. 5 days, 6 hours each day at 1ml per 20L and then a 100% water change after each 6 hour treatment.

After 3 days it finally took foot again for the first time in a month! Seems the hole in its foot has healed up :)

My only problem now which I can't solve is it hates any light. As soon as I put light over it, it closes up completely. During the night it opens up quite a bit.

I don't get it lol
