I started 2 weeks ago doseing with the 2 part solution of C-Balance. when I started 2 weeks ago doseing 15 ML of each part my calc. was 320 and my alk was 6 DKH. Now after doseing for 14 days my calc. is 340 and alk is 7 DKH so I am going to up my doses to 20 ML a day. I would also like to start dripping kalk, but what is the best kalk mix out there? I tryed to find some of the pickling lime at the suppermarket, but it is a seasonal item and they only carry it in the late summer. What are your product suggestion for proper calc and alk management?

Limewater is what I use, but there are many suitable methods. You can buy pickling lime online at www.mrswages.com . I don't think there is a "best" brand of calcium hydroxide or calcium oxide to make kalkwasser/limewater, but I wouldn't use an agricultural grade.

thanks,

Should I use c-balance to correct and raise my calc. and alk then stop useing c-balance and only maintain with kalk. or should i contiunue to use both?

Get the kalk going, balance then later with C-balance. Kalk is much cheaper and you won't be able to add a little of this or a little of that as you can with the C-balance. :)

Either or both are fine methods. I use limewater alone. :)
