i,ve recently purchased a madarin dragonet and has been in my tank for two weeks but has disapeared over the past 3 days i,ve looked about after lights out with my torch but all his usual spots are vacant i,ve read tht they can bury themselves in the sand but would they for days i,ve also had a clown fish disapear last week and the only fish eater in my tank is my giant mushroom is this the culprit even though he is fed once a week ! ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE GRT

mushroom is not culprit. do you have a DSB? they need lots of copepods, and do not eat alot of prepared food. REEF-ON!!!
what is a dsb and not sure of the copepods situation i was told that the mandarin was a good start to my ever ongoing battle with flatworms i started getting an infestation of them about 4 months ago and am a bit wary of flatworm exit i siphon out as many as poss but they are an ongoing nightmare.
i seem to be always up against it the other day i noticed my large ***** coral was not doing so well and on inspection found 3 large white coral crunching sea slugs munching away on the base,i removed them and fingers crossed it will be ok.
i,ve got a large torch coral which has done brilliant from day 1,a goniapora which has had its share of hard times due to large crab i found in my tank,i lost two previously also due to this critter who was about 2 inchs wide,i have a large green mushroom stone which has also done brillant.
fish wise i have a sailfin tang, regal tang, pair of clarke clowns one large one small [who did once used to live happily in a lovely bubbletip gelam anenome but lost there home when it decided to get sucked through my powerhead} once again more good luck and maybe a mandarin i also have a couple of sandsifting starfish a cleaner shrimp,my tank does look impressive but comes with many trials and tribulations any info or advice would be great !!
