I have a 75G with 120lbs of rock and a DSB. I also have a 30 gallon sump with 1/3 of it a small fuge with sand rock and chaeto. I have a carpenter wrasse currently and would like to have a mandarin. Tank is 7 months old and has pods all over it, I seeded it with two pod kits many months ago. My question is will the carpenter doom my mandarin? I will be getting an ORA mandarin if I do, so I figure as he will be my only bottom feeder he could do well. If you have any experience with this please chime in, thanks!

I believe flasher wrasses feed from the water column, and therefore won't be much competition for the mandarin.

It'll be fine. I have 3 McCoskers flasher wrasse and a mandarin in a 90g. The wrasses don't ever pick at the live rock. Every now and then they'll nab a pod or two off the glass.
