mandarin goby

I would like to get a mandarin goby eventually for the thirty gallon reef I'm setting up. i know i would have to wait a while for the tank to mature. would there be enough pods in a tank that size after about a year, until i can try to get it weaned onto brine shrimp. if not what are some tips to raising pods. is it easy? thanks in advance
