mandarin has a problem

I have had this mandarin for several years. It recently developed a buldge on one of it sides and has a large white speck (possibly puss or something coming from the buldge). Anythoughts on what this could be, I am assuming some kind of parasite or something? Any suggestions what i should do to resolve it?

Looks like a green mushroom.

With the other fish battling and this mandarin showing signs of disease, I would say you are battling poor water quality and/or a recently introduced disease.

Is the mandarin still alive? Perhaps time to pull him out and hit him with some medicine. Also, if you have a sick fish, it is always best to hit the Fish Disease Forum ASAP so you can have someone who is savvy in this area help you. A day or two may be all it takes to lose the fish and possibly infect the whole tank.

Fish is still alive and the blue tang is still chasing the trigger. The nitrates are the only thng off with my water which I can never get down to 0. I am going to do a lage water change of abotu 50 percent today and maybe with the moving of rocks during the water change (even thoguh i plan on putting everythig back almost exactly how it was) it will get the tang off the triggers back for awhile. I think it might just be a territorily thing with th blue tangdue to them being the only two big fish in the tank.

I could rearramge the tank but it took me a long time just to find a nice arrangement where everything seemed to fit well and hold everythign in place good.
