I wouldnt do it. In a tank that small i dont think you could keep enough pods to sustain a mandarian over a long period of time. They are really hard to get to eat frozen or flake food imo.
the only way i would is with a mandarin that you know eats frozen and then you have to feed three plus times a day w/o much competion. i got lucky and found a green one that eat frozen food then after a year and a half he disappeared in my 29g either my crazy 14" plus brittle or my long tentacle ate him because he sure was fat and happy
