Mandarin losing color-turning white

I dont have a picture yet because it is now in the rocks. I will try to get a picture asap. But I just noticed today that the mandarin is really turning white all over. I just recently switched my (2) 250 watt halides from 10k bulbs to 20k. Could that have caused this? Thats the only change I have done recently.
Thanks for any help!

I've kept mandarins for 15 years and have never run into this one. I'd bet the lights have something to do with it, because I've never met a disease that would do it.

yah it sucks...looks like its not gonna make it much longer but he is still swimming all over with his fins flapping like crazy.
I just put my 10k lights back on. I doubt that is the problem but we will see.

PHEW!!!
I put my 10k's back on and realized my mandarin is OK!
I found out that blue light will make a mandarin look really bad but its just the lighting!

Y'know, I just had that curious thought when I came back to this post. The lighting does affect our perception, for sure.
