Mandarin QT plan

I'm in need of Mandarin dragonet advice. Here goes:

I have a Flame Angel, watchman goby and a mandarin dragonet in an 80 gallon. Yesterday I saw a couple of spots on the Angel's tail. I want to use the tank transfer method but I'm worried about the mandarin and his eating. He only eats pods. I tried to train him the QT to eat other foods but he wouldn't.

I was thinking of feeding him bottled pods during the tank transfer then putting him in his own QT with lots of bottled pods. Or should I just put him directly into his own QT with the pods now skipping the transfer seeing how they are resistant to crypto?

I have seen on other threads that some advocate not taking them out of the DT at all.
Thanks!

I would set up his own qt and feed him separate, perhaps with some paitence he will take to other foods. Once the 12 week fallow is up I'd then do a tank transfer before returning him to the DT.

I would also place him in his own QT since they are very finicky eaters. How long have you had your dragonet? I tried feeding mine Pods out of the bottle but he wouldn't eat them. I lost the sucker but my tank was too un-established for him. Wish I knew that before I bought him.
