Mandarin with ich

I recently bought a mandarin. While in the shop I didn't see anything wrong with him, so maybe I was blind.. (or it did brake out real fast) Anyway, the day after I got him home in the QT, I saw both white dots and sour mark and bulbs on him. Some say Mandarin cannot get ich, but look at the pics and deside..
I don't know if it's parasites or [secondary] bacterias, but I lowered the SG down to 1,015. At first he lost a few of the ich/dots, but he later got them back, so I figure that 1,015 doesn't cut it... (but can I go lower with a mandarin?)
Anyone seen this before?

Have you looked into Lymphocystis? It's a virus that apparently can effect any fish..

Your pix do not display.

Mandarins have a lot of body slime and often pick up dots of aragonite from the sand. Be sure your vanishing and reappearing ich is not debris. Is there sand in your qt?

Be very careful about lowering salinity. Do it over 2-3 days to get it that low: do it by topping off with saltwater, replacing naturally evaporated saltwater. Doing it more rapidly can kill inverts and damage fish kidneys.

No, it's defenetly not debris, i think it looks just like ich. The other lumps I don't think look like Lymphocystis..

Yes, I know about the salinity... thank's. But I wonder if it's possible to go lower than 1,015 with this fish?

Yes, maybe it was Lymphocystis after all.. (and maybe he had something else too)
I'm sad to say that he didn't make it...
