For those of you that want to grow red mangroves in your sumps, etc, you can collect fallen down seeds from red mangroves as long as you ask the local park ranger Man did i make 1000000 phone calls before I got the correct answer on this one !!! so I thought I would just post my findings The reason you have to get permission from the park itself is different parks have different rules "didn't know that" so what maybe OK for one park may not be for the other one. If you want to grow mangroves in the sump, the only way is to aquaculture them from seeds.

I grab them as they float by my dock.

You can also ask one of the licensed mangrove trimmers for them - they were happy to give them to me.

Just walk the beach after a storm or hurricane! You will find TONS!!! They are always all over the beach!
