Does anyone know a fool proof way to catch one of these pains in my reef A@@???

Easiest way is to make a. Asl you do is take a small coke bottle and cut the head off about where it widens out and makes the bottles body. Turn it around and jam it into the bottle body and you basically got a minnow trap. Bait it with a piece of shrimp and he'll get stuck. Let me have him when you got him.

glad you like the mili! I had a green mantis once but the bugger went AWOL on me.

Same thing happened to me and he was in a 3 gallon.

anymore ideas this wouldnt didnt work. Shrimp and bottle sat in tank for a week and nothing. He moved from that spot to a new one when I put the bottle by the rock he lives under.

Did you try leaning the bottle against the rocks? Turning it up like a cup. They usually just drop in and can't get out. Use a fresh piece of raw shrimp and keep at it. Only other thing to do is epoxy the hole he's in with him in it.

Forgot. Did you get any answers about going calcium reactor? I made mine and love it. Much easier than dosing.

I laid the bottle down in the sand bed right by his hole. He would come out and look at it and then swim around it for a minute..Then nothing!! Yesterday I was trying to poke him gently with a stick. He would come out and "snap" the end and dart back in.....HE IS FAST!!

I still have not decided on a reactor or MP40 yet......
