Mantis Breaking Glass Aquariums

I just found my mantis shrimp that came hiding in some liverock I recently got. I managed to catch him and put him in a spare 20L I have setup.

He is hiding inside a rock and has accepted shrimp and guppys his 1st night I caught him and moved him out of my 75.

Heres the question...I have heard they can break glass and everything but at what size? Can this little green guy (no bigger then 1 1/2 inch) break my 20L? Are all people who keep them have to have them in acrylic only?

I have yet to hear any tapping or anything like was described so far....all it does it sit in his cave.

Read some of Dr Ron's threads about glass breaking. At 1.5", there's really little chance he'll break glass. See <A HREF="http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=300281">this thread</A> for a video of mine hitting the glass of my very small tank.

Now if your little guy grows into a big guy, then you may want to reconsider glass.
