Mantis For a nano cube 12 dx

I was wondering what type of mantis i can keep in a nano cube 12 dx with 3x24w PC lights and lots of zoas.

Also, how often would i feed these guys?

and how much danger would my hand be in if i wanted to move some zoa frags around?

pretty much any gonodactylid or neogonodactylid

If your hand seems threatening in any way then it will get swacked and you will at least have a very nice bruise and most likely a good amount of bleeding. I would probably move the rocks with tongs or something. Then again, I feed mine krill by hand and havn't been hit yet. I've only had it for a couple of weeks though

I was tempted to let the little fella hit me once just to experience it but it seems a bit foolish. My puffer nipping me is one thing, but the mantis is in a different league there...

i got hit by my n. wennera last week. it was just a love tap however, no markings, cuts or bleeding...

i think he just wanted me to know that he was there..

does anyone know where i can get a mantis for a good price?
also, how often do i feed or should i just keep a good supply of snails and hermits?

would it be safe to keep a clown in the tank? or will the mantis have his way?

If it's a smasher, your clown will be fine. If it's a spearer...it's a crapshoot. What I do with mine is buy a dozen hermits a month, and a few other shelled creatures, toss them in once a month, and call it good. Then he eats when he wants to, and he usually doesn't finish all of them off in a month. Plus, they clean the tank before they get their faces rearranged...
