And after a month in my fuge he looked like he had blue all over him. I tried to get a pic but wasn't able to then he molted again and this is what he looks like. Is this normal? He has lighting and eats plenty. He was labeled as a Neogonodactylus wennerae before. I am astonished at the transformation!!
He has molted again I think. He is really bright green and yellow swimmers and the merel spots are yellow also. I think he is a spearer cause he got stuck on a sponge in my sump and I had to free him.
I am still wondering if this is normal to have this much of a change and species.
I identified this animal for you at the beginning of the this thread. It is a Neogonodactylus wennerae, a smasher. Color change is common in this species and any smasher can stab - and frequently do when they encounter something soft.
Okay thanks. Sorry for not seeing it earlier. I was really taken aback at the extreme color change and was very surprised to see spearers on it.
I want to thank you for all of your help and knowledge on these awesome creatures and let you know that your efforts to educate people like myself is immeasurable.
Thank you Dr. Roy
