I know i don't quite have a pic right at this momment, but i was thinking one of you might have an idea anyways. I have a pretty nice size mantis ( aprox 4" and bigger around than my thumb" he is a green color with pink all around his edges. I know it's kinda hard to id with only a little discription, but i thought it was worth a shot lol any ideas? Oh yeah i ordered him through a wholesaler in florida if that makes any difference and they just caled him a "colored mantis"

i would say Odontodactylus scyllarus (peacock mantis) from what you are saying and he is 4" big. And most people order them in.
You check it see what matches Dr Roy's link. First or Second thread.

well i checked out that site and i think it's a Gonodactylaceus glabrous, but it doesn't show any good side shots, but thats the one that looks most like it. I'll have to post a pic when i get a chance. :D

Depending on the wholesaler you bought it through I might lean to an N.wennera. Typically though a green mantis that is 4" or better, ends up being a G.chiagra. Especially if you don't see it comming out of its burrow, as they are rather secretive critters.
Need pictuers for a real ID. Also what color are the meral spots?

Sounds like G. Chiragra.

Here's a couple pics of my female
