Mantis in a fuge?

could there be any problems from keeping a Mantis shrimp i a fuge of a reef tank

Are you sure there is no possible way he could get back up to the display?.. I wouldn't want to keep it in there long term, maybe just until you found it a new home.

well with the layout of the sump i cant see there being anyway of him getting back up to the display

I dont have a mantis, im in UK anyway, ive just always wanted one and thought instead of setting up a new tank i could jst put it in the fuge.

how close is the water to the top lip of the fuge? and if you could get some egg crate or somthing to block any outlets to the tank i dont see why it would be a problem.
