Mantis' need loving homes!

Now that the novelty has worn off, I'm looking for homes for 3 mantis shrimp, 2 red and 1 green. So..... If your interested, let me know.

I hope you don't mind if I jump on your thread here for a minute. :)

If anybody in Jax wants a Mantis after Ikaria finds homes for those I have one.

Anybody that can help us trap him and get him out of my wife's tank can have him for free. We have no idea which rock he is in but we have heard the snap several times and there are no pistol shrimp in her reef that we are aware of.

We just have no clue how to get this demon out. :D

I have'nt really looked for that ben, Just starting hearing it 3 days ago when she moved her reef from the 29G into the 55G. We has heard it the first night but thought it was either my Reef in the other room or just something settling since I had just sat the canopy back on the 55G.

We'll look for that. I assume that's a tell tale sign of a Mantis?

Keri it is more likely a pistol shrimp that hitchhiked in on corals or rock. They can be real small at first, I doubt you have a mantis unless you recently got a large bunch of rocks. You will notice snails and pieces of coral and rock piling up for their fortress.

You could be right. We only recently got the one rock from Dan. That's when we started hearing it. I'll look for the "fortress" later but I don't think there is anything like that.

I'd like to find it's a pistol. Yet to see any digging either though. Weird. :)

See what happens when you post half-a-sleep? I should have also stated that I don't want to ship.

Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

rats, maybe when you're half asleep again you will decide to ship, If you change your mind please let me know. Thanks

I'll be in Jacksonville on Monday and early Tuesday and I'm interested in the green one. How big is he now?

Monday is good. They are all about 2". I just fed them shrimp today, so they are eating good.
