Mantis Pics & ID needed

Hey Everybody,

I had a chance to take some pictures of Thor this weekend while I was moving her to a new tank (just found out she is a girl this weekend). Thor was getting a little big for the 12g nano I had her in, so I upgraded her to a 24g.

I'm thinking that Thor is a Chiragra, but have not had a chance to have her properly identified. Can anyone verify that from these pictures. I tried getting pics of the meral spot, but she wasn't in to cooperating, go figure. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
Joe

Beautiful mantis. Wow, lots of red, really need a look at the meral spots. What color are they if you can't get a pic? Where did she come from?

Thanks, I really like her coloration, she didn't really have much red when I first got her but developed it over the course of the last year or so.

I'm not exactly sure where she was caught, I bought her from Live Aquaria (their assorted "lime green mantis") about 2 years ago. Thor is about 3.5 to 4 inches long, and when I've had a chance to see the meral spot it looks to be mostly white, with a small purple-ish spot (maybe even black). The spot is really small, like maybe the size of a ink dot. Not sure if that is enough to get a good ID, if she feels like being cooperative, I'll try to get a pic of the meral spot.

Thanks again,
Joe
