My mantis has been out and active a lot just lately, got a couple good pics...
Gordon, my first mantis, a hitchhiker in some FL live rock when I set up my first reef tank (3-4? years ago?). He's peeking out of his front door, just behind the fish.
Like any good lazy mantis, he loves a free dinnner. Sometimes I play with him til he gets ticked and smashes the stick!
Our reef club made up some Pappone reef food recently, and when I feed that Gordon goes nuts, running all over the tank looking for it. Here he is stopped for a minute on top the Seio pump!
He even stole mysis from the acan - have had fish steal food from the corals, even emerald crabs, but this was the first time I'd seen a mantis do it!!
