Also beware not sure if anyone mentioned this or not but Mantis Shrimp can also break glass I would get rid of him.

This is pretty much a myth; any common hitchhiker mantis can not break glass. Only the largest and most powerful smashers are able to break glass and even then it's super rare. Do a search in the mantis forum for glass; you could also specify posts by Gonodactylus who is pretty much the world expert on stomatopods. There's about a million threads on this topic :deadhorse:

i think im still going to get rid of it... i jsut dont want it to eat my 110$ snowflake fish.. lol it can eat the 17$ one tho. but obviously i hope it doesnt since hes pretty cute too!

Just start buying him ghost shrimp or something and let him have his own tank. Chances are it'll stay pretty small as it's a hitchiker. Mantis are awesome. I really miss having one.

Mantis shrimp scare the snot out of me. Not much bothers me when it comes to reef tanks, but these little guys would make me not want to go near the water. I like my fingers.

Dude 5 tanks is nothing. I have 10 setup at the moment. 4 salt, 2 African cichlid, 1 planted,1 goldfish and 2 10g.lol
