My mantis stopped smashing and 1 of its smashers looks really off and crooked, the other smasher is "so so". I have had it for 2 months now and it has not molted. Is this perfectly normal?

Thanks guys

I wouldn't worry about it. Sometimes smasshers damage or lose an appendage, but it will grow back when it molts. If its ready to molt now, I don't know, but he'll be ok.

My guess is that it has already molted and that you just didn't find the skin (which they bury and/or eat). Deformed raptorial appendages usually occur during the molt. Either way, it is going to take three or four molts (6-12 months) to completely regenerate the appendage.
