Mantis Tank

I have an eclipse system 12g with a 50watt heater and 301 Aquaclear powerhead. The eclipse comes with a filter cartridge, eclipse bio-wheel, and a 13 watt flourescent full spectrum light (i think). There is 4-5 lbs of LR and about 2" of LS.

I was wondering if there is anything else i could put in the tank besides the mantis shrimp that would be compatible with the mantis and flourish with the tank specifications.

Smashers should be okay with most fish, so long as they are offered many other more standard foods for their tastes; snails, shrimp, hermits and other crabs - frozen, meaty foods. They aren't really built for catching fish, though I don't imagine it outside their abilities.

Spearers eat fish...
