Hi all,
For my major project for the course Im doing, I have decided to do the Mantis Shrimp. Mainly because I knew no one else would and not many people in the class have heard of them so I thought theyd learn something.
For my presentation, I wanted to show some videos of Mantis Shrimp striking at food or catching crabs or just active in general. I have taken a couple of my own but neither of my shrimp are very big nor active so I was hoping if someone has any vids of their shrimp with some action they would like to allow me to use I would appreciate it alot.
It will only be used as a one off to show people who have never seen them how they move/hunt or whatever so it is not for commercial use or anything.
If you have anything I can use (with your permission) could you please PM me and I will either get you to email it to me or upload it somewhere I can download it.
(I dont think I can get any uploaded to YouTube as Im not sure how to save them so it would have to be uploaded somewhere else)
Thanks in advance :)

The best video I have ever seen of stomatopods was one taken by Dr. Roy. It was a big mantis that fought and killed a blue-ring octopus. I thought it was a great video because it showed how the mantis actually kept turning the octo so the beak always faced away from it. And then the mantis ate it. without dying from the blue ring`s poison. Absolutely wild video.

I don`t know if you can use that though. I don`t know where i found it, and i think you`d need Dr. Roy`s permission too.

Thanks heaps guys will look how to use youtube vids...
(Just another note this is in no way for commercial use just to show people that dont know what they are exactly what they are if that makes sense.)
