Mantis, Wennerae and Live rock order

I am thinking about ordering a Mantis, Wennerae and either 20 lbs of live rock or the 10 gal package. So my question is should I order a Mantis, Wennerae and the live rock or not order one hoping that one is in the live rock? The reason I ask is because I am not sure what I would do with the extra one.

I had 5 mantis in my tank. Im not sure an extra one will mean anything bad. I saw some territorial displays and even pairing of male/females who later laid eggs. I wouldn't be too concerned. Not getting one and doing a second shipment will be expensive.

^ agree not sure what the odds are even if I hear alot of folks talk of trapping mantis from Richard. I am rather hoping myself that I get one but if I don't I can do something else If you want a mantis 100% order one.

I had 10 total in my 120 gal package. One left. They actually seem to be tolerant of each other for the most part. I would still ask for one if you want one specifically. Cool critters.

definitely just order a mantis with the rock. it's only 10 bucks. if you want one later, however, you'd have to add $40 shipping.

ok, that sounds like a good idea to just order one anyways. if i got any extra i can put them in my big tank and hope they dont get the fish

It seems like my experience is right in line with what the others are saying. I got a 24g package and had two (as well as at least one pistol shrimp that I have seen). That is one per 12g. That would indicate it would be hit and miss with a 10g package. As the others have said, I would just order one. Extras are not going to hurt. The two I had got along fine.
