Hi guys!

My current fish-family interest are the maori wrasses- oxycheilinus and cheilinus species. I was just wondering if anyone had any sort of experience with these fishes as I have recently become fascinated with the family. Think broomtail, cheek line, two spot, floral, tripletail, etc.

I'd appreciate it very much!!:spin2:

I had a broomtail. It was in the tank 3 minutes. It went into a tank with a same size, well established Harliquin Tusk. It was WW3 in there. The tusk was instant chase/beatdown/kill, relentlessly attack mode. I bet I lost 20 gallons of water from the chase between them. I had to remove it immed or it would have died. Returned it. So be careful about what other wrasses you put together, if any.

they are one of my favorite fishes, especially Pteragogus. they need relatively peaceful, larger tankmates. most of them will eat smaller fish & inverts that fit in their mouth. some of the smaller species are well suited for a reef but will be rather cryptic like a Liopropoma would be.
