4. Field trips â€"œ a trip to the Chattanooga Aquarium with free admission for club members with a behind-the-scenes tour available for a charge. Family members will be welcome. This trip is currently being planned. Eleven tickets have been donated by the Chatt. Aquarium. The club will pay the remainder for ETRC members. April 5th is the date. Post of the RC tread if interested.
5. David Sease made a treasurer’s report â€"œ currently the club checking account has a balance in excess of $1900.
6. The offer to allow ERTC members to join the Coral Reef in their orders was discussed. Eddie Neal contacted CR and obtained the following info:
Coral Reef has offered to allow ETRC members to “join in†on its orders and receive a preorder discount.
A. Corals, Fish, Inverts, Live Rock
1. Place order on or before Saturday -- Order will be made on Sunday
2. When placing order, CR will need the common name of fish or coral, and/or type of live rock
3. The scientific name may be required to avoid confusion
4. Color of coral may be needed to avoid confusion
5. MUST be able to pick up fish, coral, or live rock on Tuesday
6. (Although some special orders arrive on Friday, >90% of them arrive on Tuesday)
7. In order for you to pick up your order when it arrives, leave phone# so CR can call
8. Orders do not always arrive in Knoxville at the same time each time
9. Pick up time is normally mid afternoon to late evening
10. If the fish, coral, or invert is DOA, the CR will order for you again
11. If the fish, coral, invert arrives alive, it is yours
12. Price will be 66% of retail price. (Normal ETRC discounted price is 90% of retail)
B. Dry goods
1. Place order on or before Saturday â€"œ Order will be made on Sunday
2. Orders arrive on Thursday â€"œ
3. Pick up before close of business on Saturday (7pm)
4. Price will be 75% of retail price (Normal ETRC discounted price is 90% of retail)
C. Only ETRC members (with membership cards) eligible
