I can understand that the economy is in a slump. What I can't understand is how the club had unpaid debts from last year. I am not about to start any sort of mudslinging. I completely recognize the amount of work and cost that goes into organizing the club meetings. I don't feel it is a correct statement to say that we left the club with unpaid bills.

I just spoke with President, not Mr. Obama. He cleared up the issues and I don't think this needs to be covered any further. I apologize for posting in this forum without gathering all the information first.

Just so I am not leaving an open ended argument. The items that were left over from last year were normal operating costs for the meetings;

1. Refreshments
2. Raffle item purchases from Salty
3. Web hosting fees

I feel I am at fault for not ensuring all of those parties were not taken care of before we finished up last year.

The 2K total also includes the operating costs from the fragathon. Here is another instance where our failing economy has made it harder for the club to operate at a lower cost.

I want offer a sincere apology to those that are carrying on the torch for the club. I know it isn't a light burden that each of you carry.

I will be taking my "honorarium" for speaking at C-SEA in monthly raffle tickets and Controller raffle tickets. I read in a post earlier in the month that some of the speakers were getting pretty healthy speaking fees. Hell. I'm a doctor!!! LOL
