March Meeting

I know it's a little early, but the March meeting is at my place. I am bored, so I figure I might as well post something useful. Saturday March 21st at noon. the location is twenty five twenty six fenwood drive. Food..... Lets shoot for grilling. I guess that means that I need to get a grill though, but I really want some good grilled food. How does that sound?

I think we should start talking about meetings on the first day of the month, so GOOD for you! yaay!

I think I'll be there. I'm pretty sure. If Eddie is going, he should make baked beans!

You don't have a grill? WTH is wrong with you!?!

I'm not sure what I will bring...not those same cookies though, I do know that. I'm thinking maybe cheese dip should make a reappearance. I mean...standing around grilling some meat, eating the F outta some cheese dip sounds like a mighty fine afternoon to me.

I should be able to make this one:)

What, horse legs not interesting enough for you:lol:

....no offense Randy:)

Chris- Horse legs, dog legs, imaginary cells... whatever, it's not doing it for me right now. :)

Mel- hell Mel, I am a college student who for the last 7 years of my life have lived in 5 different houses/apartments-- gosh. But I agree, it is a little sad.

If anyone is interested in monti caps, I have 3 orange caps and a borwned out idaho grape that all need new homes :( ran out of room like chris said I would-- I hate it when he is right.

Don't feel bad Paul. I didn't have a grill till I got married.....and then I had to learn to use it:lol:

I'm about to start putting pins in my Dr. Schumacher voodoo doll :fun2:

Dude...that's no excuse. I was a graduate student making ridiculously low amounts of money/living in a 950 sq ft apartment at one point and I bought one of those small spaceship-looking Webers at Home Depot for like $20! You can move those easier than you can pack up your dishes. Get with the program, man! Maybe we should take up a collection and buy you one. I'd buy you one if it was in my budget (but it's not, sorry).

I had one of those in graduate school. I stuck pins in my "advisor" doll a LOT neat the end of school.

we should be there...lookin forward to it. let me know if there is anything in particular you want me to bring.

what do you want for the grape, paul? caps seem to really be taking off in the tank lately...

Dana- pm sent. Whatever you want to bring is fine with me. I just want a burger and mayber see what the hype is all about with the shiner black. This may be one of the rare times that I drink-- it's spring break.

Crisis solved :) -- I got a grill. It's propane. I was raised on charcoal and love it, but Hank Hill is pretty convincing, plus it was only $25.

Topic-- ?? No idea. How about how to make my tank better??? Everyone must bring a donation of some type then, or just handy work would be great. Dremel anyone??? seriously-- I have no clue.

I would like to know if a fuge would help my tank-- or if anything else could help it.

Oh, could some one bring a camera??

wohooo, i wanna see you get loaded! no excuses...its spring break AND you don't have to drive. haha! congrats on the grill. i LOVE grilling. i've been know to grill in the dark in the snow. i even grill breakfast on occasion. its great.

seems like the fuge would help if you have a phosphate problem, i don't think cleaner water would hurt! i know mine always run at zero when i test...and i feed twice a day.

i have a camera, but it sucks. :(

I'll be sure to bring a 12 pack then... ;) Its really good if you like dark beers...

I've spread the addiction...

If Scott or Nathan don't come, I can bring my camera...

If your phosphates aren't high, then I wouldn't add a refugium... With a BB tank, they can sometimes become detritus traps and kind of defeat their purpose/intention...

I think we should try and have a definite meeting topic though... We can talk about your tank and offer suggestions for potential improvement and then go onto a "main" topic...

If anyone has any ideas, just shoot them out there...

I am not sure if Nathan's coming or not...can't ever say until right about time for the meeting.

I do know that he would REALLY like to drink some more of that Shiner Black though. hah hah.

Well I'm done with pins......although I would have liked to put a few in a Dr Adair doll tonight:lol:

How about macro-algae in general? For refugiums/nutrient export, but also for mixed coral/macro displays and even macro tanks for seahorses and stuff. Anyone experienced enough to lead a discusison about that (and is there interest in that topic)?

Not sure if I can make it, but if I do I'll bring my camera. Amazing how everybody sees a big camera and thinks you know how to use it. ;)

True that.

It's also amazing how many people with big cameras think they know how to use them.
