March Reef Meet/Poker night

We have not had alot of reef meetings in the last two months. So I thought about combining a meeting with a poker game night so any that wants to check the reef tank can and anyone who wants to play poker can play poker. I am looking at Mar 9 th which is a friday. The last meeting at my place we did a frag swap. Does any one want to do another swap?
 
I will have to think about this one, as the last poker night Micheal brought out the big guns and took us all for a ride.lol

If anybody wants we could do a frag order from reefer maddness, they do a bulk box, sps lps and zoa mix.Please post if you are interested.

I think that you need to place a beer/snack jar on the bar for all that you do. IMO

I want to thank you as well, and yeah Micheal did big the guns out and shot us all. Ill second the opinion of the snack/beer jar.

I am hoping to make it as well, but won't know for sure till we get a little closer. Agreed the jar on the bar to help cover expenses is a good idea
 
I hope to make it. Had a ton of fun at the last meeting. Can't believe we didn't even touch the pool table at the last meeting. I'll be in the tip jar. I mean, in on the tip jar. :D Michael R
 
dont have the cyano under control in my 120 yet and dont want to add anything untill i have a grasp on it. But I could use an lps or two for my 55 if we get enough interest.
 
Great idea Ade, I'd be in for a frag pack. Looking for the same as dadyoj. Hope we get enough interest to do this.

Just thought that I would keep the post going, so who is going to turn up for reefdad2 to take your $ from you.
 
I'm thinking I will be there but not sure about poker, as I'm not very good, Ade the frag pack looks cool, I read in the Richmond thread that their meet was a lot of fun and the corals were really nice :) as a added incentive it's my birthday somewhere in that time frame.... getting oldddddd

I went to the RRC meeting, it was a good time lots of new people and the display tanks were really nice. He had the biggest LMB I have ever seen, thing could have swallowed my finger easy.

In the frag pack there was a mix of LPS SPS and a few Ricordia. The ricordia were about the size of my index finger nail and all green, the LPS has 2 small but ok Acans and the rest was like some sort of plating stuff, nothing really interesting and I'm a big LPS fan but then I didn't really know what most of them were, OH, there was a small frag of a green brain too.
Can't comment on the SPS as I'm not really into them, they were the majority of the frag pack. This was the 30+ pack. All in all I liked the things I traded for with local reefers or bought at local stores much more.

The purple something SPS that got its pic on the thread was a gift to the host from someone from Charlottesville.

Colleen are you thinking of making it to the poker/reef meet? if so I will try and get one of the GBTA off the rocks for you. Let me know.

I won't be able to make it. I was supposed to have dinner with a friend tonight but she called to reschedule for next week, before realizing that it was the 9th I accepted. I would reschedule but I feel bad since I rescheduled 2x already.
Next time Ade if thats ok.
