March the Acroholic

took some par readings with apogee

here is what I got
ATI sunpower way stronger than I thought !

Because of the way the rock is set up I dont have to much play when it comes to height.
Its two big plateaus getting about 400-500 par evenly
this is with all 8 bulbs on, with only 6 on (how I normally run it throughout the day) its about 100 less par then what is shown

Very good info, thanks! It's amazing how powerful a sunpower with proper T5 bulbs can be!

TY :D

Wow! That FTS is very nice. How many fish do you have in there?

1 purple tang
4 yellow tang
1 blue hippo
1 sailfin
1 desjardini
6 chromis
1 myster wrasse
1 black chromis
1 red cardinal
1 anthias

18 in total looking to add about 10 more anthias for color and blonde naso

How fare awl is your fixture? And how is your light schedule set up? I run the same bulbs and love the look.

right now its 6'' from water line
8.5 hours 6 bulbs on blue+
2.5 hours coral + purple + (so 2.5 hours all 8 bulbs)
my friends recently attempted to copy this lighting schedule and bleached the $%@# out of many pieces , if you try to replicate do it slow not in one shot

Since just a few months ago you didn't have much, are these mostly wild colonies? How are they so big already?

Alot of pm recently asking what I feed or dose
Currently not dosing any trace or aminos. just ESV calc/alk/mag

I feed these 4 every morning
doc eco eggs ( my fav food for fish /corals)
reef nutrition- oyster, phyto and roti feast
feeding response from acros is intense, I will post photos next time
PE on some pieces just insane

I believe in heavy feeding, heavy export (water changes)
