has anyone ever ordered from marco rocks if so... how was it and would u do it again..i need to order more live rock any other suggestion where i can get some from

Marcorock downst sell live rock. They sell rock that is dry and porous. Good stuff that can be made into live rock.

Ive been researching marco for quite some time now, and ive never seen a bad review. Cant wait to get home and get some myself.

I ordered 75 pounds of fiji shaped marco rocks. The stuff is very porous and ranging in different sizes. I had a really huge piece (2 actually) that took up maybe 1.5 feet long and a good height too. For those, just take a hammer and screwdriver and chizel it. Those 2 came in the 50 pound box though. The smaller box had smaller rocks. Very light weight and porous. I guess 75 pounds was more like 125 pounds wet someone told me. I tried getting 75 pounds to go with my 50 pounds of LR from the old tank when I transfered tanks, but forgot about water weight, so I'm over 125 pounds for a 125 tank, which is ok. The thing is they have good surface area.

When you get them, they will probably be a bit dusty. Soak them in water and maybe scrub them a bit if you could, all I did was soak them.

yeah i never thought of that it ways 50 lbs but its dry so when its in water the pores get full i could imagine it ways more...i wanted to just buy it from th lfs but the prices are a bit high i think i can wait the extra 5-6 weeks or so and cure the rock

some guys in my neck of the woods in our reef club ordered it and had nothing bad to say about it. Just seed it with some live rock and you will never know that it was dead.

I will be placing my 4th order with marcorocks sometime this week.
The dry weight issue is HUGE. I had one extra large rock in the last order that weighed maybe 5 lbs out of the box. But once it soaked for a day or so, it weighed over 15 lbs!

I would definitely plan on soaking this rock for at least a few days when you first get it. It still has dried animal matter on/in it. I scraped a few unidentifiable "things" off mine. Great rock.

Ya, marco rocks are nice. Compared to some base rock that doesn't really look in the real LR shape, this stuff looks exactly like it would be LR, then when it gets algae on it, it looks like you bought the real fiji or tonga etc LR.
