I agree with valida, or was that not directed at me? And it is very possible they are actually wild, anyways, wc have been driving down the nitrates.

Quick update: these two seem to be doing quite well 2 weeks in (not really long enough to judge but still could very easily be doing poorly at this time). The samoensis has taken on a deeper purple at the base going into a light purple in the growth region with green tips. The valida has maintained its color with the tips also becoming a deeper purple. Both have decent daytime PE while getting great extension at night (as expected). Anyways, here's a pic with their new placement:
