Maricultured Stag question

Hi sps lovers got a quick question. I saw a maricultured stag mini colony at my LFS for what I feel is a fair price, and a good size and beautiful shape! My issue is that it is currently brown with whitish blue tips.
It looks very healthy with polyps out and no signs of recession. I would like to take a chance and hopefully this would color up to something other than brown.
Do most maricultured stags come in as other colors and possibly brown out during shipping? I really hoping for any shade of blue, green or purple.
I once had a blue tip stag which was basically brown with blue growth tips. I sold that because it was getting large and was just not something I want in my tank.
My experience with maricultured sps is they do well in my tank and eventually color up.

given the right water quality and conditions, the acros will color up to its original color.

but its original color can be anything, including brown. so its a chance you have to take :)

the brown acro that was growing in your tank, did other acros color up during that time ? if not, you just have too much nutritions and acros arent coloring up.
check the water parameter as well :)

Go for it if price is right. I doubt they grow brown corals on their farm :). Just double check for any pests.
