Marine Anchor Worms?

I'm at a loss. I had a customer come in and describe what seemed to be an anchor worm attatched to her Tang. Now I've only ever had experience with anchor worms on goldfish or tropical fish. Has anyone ever come in contact with anchor worms in a marine environment?

A google search turned up nothing for me.

Could she be referring to flukes? Flukes are visible to the naked eye if they're on dark-colored fish. Perhaps a freshwater dip might help?
