OK I have a large marine betta, that I have had for a few months now. He was a little beat up when I got him, but has made a full come back and seems to be doing great. Today I noticed that he has a bump on his jaw. Located on the left side at the joint. Looks like there is a red thing sticking out a little also. I know he eats very well, as I just fed him, and I dont notice any unusual habits. It does look like this has been there for awhile, but I just noticed it. With no pictures, any ideas? I have a few other fish in the tank but they usually leave him alone. They are a yellow tang and a gold stripe Maroon clown. The other fish are two small to be of any concern. Overall he is very healthy, but should I be concerned. Please advise.
